The Tech Team

As Senior Backend Engineer, you will join a dynamic team of three senior backend developers and take the lead on DevOps matters under the responsibility of our CTO. Our team leverages a robust technical stack including AWS, Django, Jenkins, Ansible, ElasticSearch, Postgres, and Redis to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• As Lead DevOps, you will be responsible for managing the cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency. You will design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, develop and maintain a high-quality external API, optimize backend performance and response times, among other tasks.
• As Lead DevOps, you will also be in charge of formalizing and planning infrastructure-related work, taking into account the technical needs expressed by the Dev Team and the business requirements set by management.
• As a full member of the Dev Team, you will contribute to all backend tasks, including data integration, implementation of entry points, batch processing, response time optimization, bug fixing, and more.

Your Profile

• The ideal candidate is a senior backend engineer with strong DevOps leadership experience, capable of owning our cloud infrastructure while actively contributing to the backend codebase. They should have:
• Deep experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a strong understanding of scalability, availability, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins.
• Solid experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform and applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• A proactive mindset when it comes to monitoring, maintaining, and optimising infrastructure performance and spend.
• Familiarity with security best practices across both infrastructure and application layers.
• A strong foundation in backend development with Python and Django, and a good grasp of PostgreSQL, would be a plus.
