A dual Master’s degree means that you will earn two separate master’s qualifications, which could be from two different institutions or within two areas of expertise. Programmes like the EDHEC MSc & Global MBA double degree prepare students for diverse roles in international business environments. EDHEC Business School also offers a Double Degree in Climate Change & Sustainable Finance, in partnership with Mines Paris - PSL, blending financial expertise with climate science, or a double degree with its MSc & Global MBA.
Joint degrees can be a great idea for those who want to broaden their skill set and gain expertise in more than one area. The rewarding experience of completing a double degree enhances your versatility and global appeal. For example, the EDHEC MSc & Global MBA double degree offers students the opportunity to enhance their business acumen and leadership skills in a shorter timeframe (2 academic years). This can make you more attractive to employers who value versatility and a broad knowledge base.
Joint degrees can be highly beneficial for those looking to stand out in competitive industries. EDHEC’s double degree programmes, such as the MSc & Global MBA, offer a unique combination of practical and theoretical knowledge, preparing graduates for leadership roles across different sectors. The dual qualification can make you more attractive to employers, especially in industries like finance and international business. The key advantage of a double Master’s degree is that it provides graduates with a broader skill set, enhancing employability. For instance, a double master’s degree in business and finance, like the EDHEC MSc & Global MBA, offers in-depth knowledge across these areas and prepares students for senior management positions globally.
Both have distinct advantages, but it depends on your career aspirations. A double master’s degree, like the ones offered by EDHEC, equips you with specialised skills in two fields, making you versatile in the job market. On the other hand, a PhD is more research-focused and suits those aiming for academic or highly specialised research roles.
The EDHEC Master in Management is a top-ranked, two-year academic programme designed for students seeking to increase their general management skills. Also known as the Grande Ecole programme, it awards you a double degree: a Master in Management and Master of Science. After the first year of your master’s degree, you can gain a full year’s professional experience or undertake an internship and a six-month exchange at a partner university, before completing the second year of your master’s programme. Please note this is not the case for our Global Master in Management - GETT as students are already given the opportunity to study at 3 prestigious institutions.
Our Master of Science degrees are specialised 18-month programmes targeted at students who wish to acquire new knowledge in a specific field or further strengthen their existing expertise. If you are a student on the Master in Management programme, you can also earn a Master of Science degree in the second year of your programme, when you choose your specialisation.
A traditional master’s degree focuses on one area of study, whereas a double master’s degree allows you to explore two disciplines. For example, the EDHEC MSc & Global MBA double degree combines advanced business management skills with a specialisation in a business-related field, such as finance or sustainability.
The MSc in Climate Change & Sustainable Finance is a double degree with Mines Paris - PSL that blends financial expertise with a solid understanding of the scientific and engineering challenges associated with the transition to a low-carbon economy. You will be awarded an MSc in Climate Change & Sustainable Finance from EDHEC and a specialised diploma in Finance and Climate Change from Mines Paris - PSL. Additionally, this programme grants the prestigious Grade de Master, a French academic distinction that attests to its high level of academic and professional standards, further enhancing your credentials in the sustainable finance field.
