The job: 

EDHEC Online is currently looking for Academic Mentors to teach already developed courses in the following disciplines:

- Data Science

- Mathematics /Statistics

- Leadership / Management

- Human Resources

- Business Ethics

As an Academic Mentor, you will be expected to:

- Understand the assigned course material, including activities and assessments.

- Welcome students to the course upon its opening, communicate clear expectations and guidelines (including instructions and deadlines for assignments and exam).

- Provide academic guidance and mentorship, creating a sense of presence to enrich the online learning experience.

- Encourage and nurture interaction on the course’s matter, modelling intellectual expertise.

- Answer students' questions about the course within a reasonable timeframe (24 to 48 hours).

- Monitor students' progress through the course, proactively follow up with students who are falling behind and offer support where necessary.

- Prepare and facilitate live classes, if applicable, using them as an opportunity to create more interaction with and between students (live classes should not be an academic mentor’s monologue!).

- Correct and assess students’ work (continuous assessment graded activities and final exam) in accordance with EDHEC Online’s academic standards and provide students with meaningful feedback explaining their grades.

- Together with the EDHEC Online team (and other academic mentors if applicable), contribute to the continuous improvement of the course and program.

- Comply with the EDHEC Ethics Code, and immediately inform EDHEC Online’s direction of any situation (such as violence, harassment, discrimination, conflict, mental health problem, etc.) that may present a serious and/or imminent danger to the institution, its students, or other stakeholders.

Requirements:

- You have at least a master’s degree in the relevant discipline.

A PhD is a plus.

- You have several years of relevant professional experience in international contexts.

A previous experience in training facilitation and/or teaching (online or in-person) is a plus.

- You are motivated to share your knowledge and experience with others. - You are fluent in French and/or English (written and spoken).

- You are comfortable with videoconferencing and other common technological tools.

- You can free up at least 5 hours a week in your agenda for the duration of the course (i.e. a period of 2 to 4 months, including the exam correction period).
