BCG & EDHECINFRA: TEAMING UP TO FURTHER INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCE RESEARCH

Through its EDHECinfra research centre, EDHEC has signed a partnership with the prestigious management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The partnership is geared to conducting new research focusing on the behaviour of infrastructure investors.

Co-building infrastructure finance research

Harnessing their combined expertise, Boston Consulting Group and EDHECinfra created the "Infrastructure peer group investment style" survey as a means of questioning infrastructure investors directly. A questionnaire was devised to furnish greater solidity to research undertaken by the two institutions and due for publication in the coming months.

Developing research of real practical use

The research conducted by these two high-profile institutions is designed to qualify the type of infrastructure investments made and the place they occupy in the construction of asset portfolios. To do this, the performances of a panel of investors compiled by region and by type of organisation or investments are to be analysed and classified. This data, as well as that obtained from research in the field – like the questionnaire - will then be used to provide insight to the industry on current investor practices.
