EDHEC Professor Christophe Croux has been named president-elect of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC).

The IASC is one of the seven sections of the International Statistical Institute, the world association of professional statisticians, founded in 1853. The objectives of the IASC are to foster worldwide interest in effective statistical computing and to exchange technical knowledge through international contacts and meetings between statisticians, computing professionals, organizations, institutions, governments and the general public.

Christophe Croux will act as its president for the 2021-2023 period.

Dr Croux will be invited  speaker at the 24th International Conference on Computational Statistics, University of Bologna, Italy, 25-28 August 2020.
