EDHEC Business School Ranked 1st Worldwide in 2025 Poets&Quants Global MBA Entrepreneurship Ranking
EDHEC Business School’s Global MBA tops Poets&Quants annual ranking of the World’s Best MBA Programs for Entrepreneurship. The 2025 rankings show EDHEC leading or co-leading in three key areas.
EDHEC Business School’s Global MBA has been named as the best MBA programme in the world for Entrepreneurship according to the Poets&Quants latest rankings, published earlier this week. This is the first year that EDHEC Business School has entered the MBA Entrepreneurship rankings. In addition to placing #1 overall, the full-time programme stood out in several key areas including the percentage of electives offered dedicated to entrepreneurship & innovation. “For 2025, EDHEC ranked first or tied for first in three individual categories: Percentage of entrepreneurship and innovation-focused MBA electives, ratio of entrepreneurs-in-residence per 2024 MBA graduate, and percent of MBAs who had direct involvement in a startup during the last academic year”, reports the Poets&Quants editorial team.
A distinctive entrepreneurial track for MBA students
EDHEC’s MBA students benefit from a dedicated Entrepreneurship Track, which offers courses in ideation, product creation, business modelling, scaling, and marketing for start-ups… The programme culminates in a pitch session at TechForward, with top pitches invited to continue in the incubator with additional mentoring from business angels. Other resources include the Plug & Play University Partnership, which allows select students to work as investment analysts reviewing up to 20 ventures per week, and one-to-one career coaching from industry experts.
For students interested in gaining real-world experience, EDHEC’s network of 340 industry experts and 30 dedicated mentors provides hands-on support tailored to each entrepreneur’s needs.
Innovations in course offerings and sustainable entrepreneurship
Beyond traditional business education, EDHEC equips students to navigate the challenges of modern business with electives focused on data-driven decision-making, sustainable entrepreneurship, and digital innovation. In its Sustainable Impact Challenge, now in its fourth year, MBA students tackle real business challenges with 15 impact-driven projects from start-ups and corporations alike. Throughout the curriculum, 100% of MBAs have direct involvement with a startup (live business cases or projects with start-ups).
EDHEC’s commitment to responsible entrepreneurship is reflected in its Responsible Entrepreneurship by Design (RED) methodology. Developed to support the 90% of start-ups aiming to incorporate sustainable practices, the RED framework helps entrepreneurs align their business models with responsible practices from the outset. EDHEC’s approach to responsible entrepreneurship has made the school a leader in nurturing start-ups prioritising positive societal impact and profitability.
An ecosystem dedicated to entrepreneurship
EDHEC Business School is reshaping entrepreneurship education with its comprehensive ecosystem, robust support systems, and commitment to responsible business practices. The school’s Centre for Responsible Entrepreneurship (CRE), inaugurated in 2022, leads the charge by integrating entrepreneurial education with a strong emphasis on social and environmental impact. EDHEC’s approach to entrepreneurship focuses on sustainable, responsible practices and long-term societal impact.
From dedicated programmes to world-class facilities, EDHEC provides aspiring entrepreneurs with a full spectrum of resources. The school’s entrepreneurial ecosystem includes four incubators across Lille, Nice, and the prestigious Station F campus in Paris. These incubators pre-incubate over 300 students each year and accelerate upwards of 70 start-ups.
A cornerstone of EDHEC’s entrepreneurial programme is its seed fund, GENERATIONS Powered by EDHEC, launched in collaboration with Ring Capital in November 2023. This impact-focused fund has already backed ten start-ups dedicated to creating a positive social, environmental, and health impact. EDHEC's start-ups gain early access to investors, facilitating a smooth transition when presenting to angel investors and venture capital funds.
Sandra Richez, Director of the EDHEC Global MBA, explains, “Entrepreneurship is in EDHEC’s DNA. The school was founded 118 years ago by entrepreneurs from northern France to train a new generation of managers. This entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive at EDHEC today, where we’re training leaders who see entrepreneurship to achieve societal impact alongside economic value.”
From its extensive mentoring network to pioneering sustainability initiatives, EDHEC continues to make its mark as a top choice for future entrepreneurs. “Entrepreneurship at EDHEC is more than just a career choice—it’s a means to create value and a positive impact,” says Sandra Richez. As EDHEC forges ahead with innovative programmes and continues to expand its global reach, the school’s entrepreneurial spirit remains a driving force in the business education world.
