After completing their core courses, EDHEC PhD in Finance candidates will advance to the second stage of the curriculum and select the electives that will help them with their dissertation work. Candidates must take a total of at least five elective seminars in their second and third years. Electives offered in the 2017/2018 academic year to 2015 and 2016-year students form a balanced portfolio of seminars presenting conceptual advances and state-of-the-art quantitative methods. PhD in Finance candidates will have the privilege of learning from the world’s leading specialists in these areas.

Each elective seminar has a duration of 15 hours and is associated with a doctoral research workshop of one hour with Q&A that allows the guest scholar to present and discuss his/her ongoing research.
