La Redoute and EDHEC join forces for an educational competition focused on data

Monday 25 September saw EDHEC Business School welcome data analysis experts from La Redoute’s analytics and data department to the Lille campus. The meeting marked the launch of the educational partnership with La Redoute, sponsored by the EDHEC Foundation and concerning the MSc in Marketing Analytics programme. The partnership is designed to have the MSc students work directly with La Redoute on real-life problems facing the company and thus develop their experience of the professional world.

As part of this collaboration, La Redoute came to present a data-focused educational competition to students on the programme. The project involves the students working on one of four issues facing La Redoute in its business today, such as the need to adapt to new online fashion retailers (like Vinted or Shein) or to manage technological constraints, particularly those related to the algorithms employed by Google and Meta. To respond to these problems, “students will have the chance to work directly with La Redoute’s data” explains Étienne Denis, Director of the MSc in Marketing Analytics. The objective of the exercise is for students to gain a practical understanding of the day-to-day tasks of an in-company data department, in order “to assist them in their transition towards the professional world”, underlines Sébastien Riba, Recruitment and Employer Brand Manager at La Redoute.
