2015 - The leadership revolution
Discover the survey "The Leadership Revolution" conducted by the Chair in 2015, which focuses on leadership among French managers (behaviours and leadership styles) and the expectations of their teams.
A SURVEY ON THE LEADERSHIP OF FRENCH MANAGERS
Leadership is the result of a process of recognition and attribution: leadership and the role of leader is 'recognised' when a person behaves in a way that convinces us to follow them.
The objective of this study is, beyond the description of the current leadership of French managers, to identify, by comparison, both the sources of effectiveness and the areas of managerial development to make leadership evolve towards greater effectiveness, diversity and exemplarity.
Four main questions were studied by the researchers:
- Is there a leadership deficit among French managers, and a complementary need for leadership among their teams?
- - What behaviours do French managers use today to assert their leadership (lived leadership)?
- Are these behaviours and leadership styles effective?
- Do these behaviours and leadership styles correspond to the expectations of the teams in this area? (expected leadership)
