Bio

Sophie Clot, Ph.D, is Professor of Economics at EDHEC Business School with a teaching expertise in climate economics, sustainable development, business economics, behavioural economics and financial regulation. Before joining Edhec, she was a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Reading. Sophie’s research focuses on the design and adoption of solutions to meet the SDGs and the associated financing tools. More specifically, her research studies human behaviour and risk preferences in relation to the implementation of SDG measures, using experimental economics. Her research received funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Global Challenges Research Fund and she has been involved in various other multi disciplinary research programmes (UK Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020, European Institute of Innovation & Technology). In the past, Sophie worked several years for international organisations in areas such as microfinance and conservation finance.
