The Advanced Management Programme gets underway in 2025
On 13 January 2025, the newest cohort of EDHEC Business School’s Advanced Management Programme began their programme journeys on the school’s Paris campus.
Following the start of pre-experience programmes (Master in Management and BBA) in September 2024 and of Executive Education programmes (Global MBA, Executive MBA, Executive Master’s in Business and Management, Online MBA) in October 2024, the 28-participant cohort of EDHEC’s Advanced Management Programme got underway in January 2025.
The new class brings together business owners, entrepreneurs, senior executives and business leaders from both the corporate world and start-ups alike. All are either members of an executive or a management committee, company founders, or leaders of a business unit or department. One-third of the programme’s participants are women. On average, the participants are aged 45 and have at least 10 years’ professional experience.
Sustainable strategy and self-knowledge
The programme employs a blend of master classes and seminars that deepen participants’ understanding of corporate strategy (development of a long-term vision, incorporation of ESG into the business model and innovation issues) and the management of organisations. Group and individual coaching sessions also prompt them to carry out an introspective analysis as to better understand their identity as senior executives and to develop their leadership.
First week of the programme: workshop and exchanges with alumni
The first week of the programme began with an intensive four-day workshop designed to train them in the strategic decision-making progress. Split into groups, participants were tasked with compiling a business strategy based on key data like financial results, production data, responsible and sustainable engagements.
The start of the programme also gave participants the chance to meet their predecessors. Maïlys Vicaire-Toulemonde, Co-Director of Executive Programmes, EDHEC Executive Education, remarked: “the first week of classes is always a really powerful moment in the programme. Firstly, because the group finally comes together and meets for the first time. These 28 leaders, who have over 500 years of experience combined, arrive with a mixture of confidence and humility with the aim of re-considering their leadership – whether in its business, personal or inter-personal aspects. And secondly, because the outgoing class hands over the baton to the incoming class. The outgoing alumni bequeath us a great gift by testifying to the power of their experience over the last year and by sharing valuable tips to enable all the new participants to take full advantage of the year and to open themselves to transformation!”
