Global Doctoral Course

EDHEC Business School is delighted to join a research community by participating in the global doctoral course in "Financial Economics of Climate and Sustainability" launched by faculty members of 8 schools in Europe and United States a year ago and opened to PhD students, post-docs, researchers, and faculty members.  Seven EDHEC PhD candidates or alumni have been active participants in the 2024 round.

This is a great opportunity for researchers to explore the latest development of Climate Finance through a series of lectures taught by outstanding scholars from Columbia, Harvard, Imperial, Oxford, Stanford, University of Texas and Yale.

The purpose of the course is to introduce researchers to questions and methods in the rapidly evolving fields of climate/sustainable finance, and to connect researchers from across the globe interested in this topic to stimulate more rigorous, relevant, and collaborative work.
This course will study how climate and sustainability considerations are reflected in research on asset markets, investment management, financial institutions, corporate finance and household finance.

Dr Emmanuel Jurczenko, Director of Finance Graduate Programmes is the EDHEC Faculty Coordinator. He said: “We are very pleased to be part of this community focused on educating in the area of sustainable finance. A few of our PhD in Finance students and PhD alumni have been participating. By engaging in this collaborative effort, EDHEC demonstrates its dedication to preparing future finance professionals and researchers to make an impact on the responsible business and sustainable finance

It represents a major stride in educating the next wave of researchers and teachers and reaches around thousand participants this year.
