EDHEC Award of the Year 2024: Émilie Sidiqian, Executive Vice President and General Manager France, Salesforce
The Paris edition of EDHEC Rendez-Vous 2024 - the annual events of the EDHEC Business School alumni community - took place on Wednesday June 19. On this occasion, Émilie Sidiqian, Executive Vice President and General Manager France of Salesforce, received the EDHEC Award of the Year. Each year, this distinction is awarded to a graduate whose exemplary career embodies the values and spirit of the school and its alumni, in particular the ability to transform the business world and the desire to respond to major societal challenges.
For over 20 years, Émilie Sidiqian (EDHEC Master 2002) has held positions of responsibility in the industrial and high-tech sectors. In 2021, she was appointed Executive Vice President and General Manager France of Salesforce. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated her commitment to equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion. In particular, Émilie Sidiqian believes that the economic performance of organizations must be accompanied by a positive impact on society: "Companies must act on the issues that condition our collective future", she stresses.
At Salesforce, she applies this vision with determination through strong, concrete measures: "In France, we provide free software licenses to associations, train school dropouts in rural areas, manage donation and meal distribution platforms for the homeless... We welcome our employees as they are, fighting for equal opportunities. We help finance the gender transitions of some of our employees, and so-called "maternity leave" is paid parental leave for 6 months, regardless of household composition. We take responsibility for these choices, which are not necessarily valued in all companies.
