EDHEC of the Year 2023 prize: Christian Raisson and Philippe de Chanville, founders of ManoMano
This year, the Paris edition of EDHEC Rendez-Vous, the EDHEC Alumni community’s annual event, was held on 8 June at Station F, the world’s biggest start-up incubator. Focused on the theme of “responsible innovation”, the evening brought together some 700 alumni keen to exchange with their peers and catch up on the School’s latest news. During the EDHEC Rendez-Vous, three prizes were awarded to alumni whose careers are contributing to the School’s reputation for excellence and helping to raise its profile.
The “EDHEC of the Year” prize was awarded to Christian Raisson (EDHEC Master 1994) and Philippe de Chanville (EDHEC Master 2003), founders of ManoMano, a pioneering start-up selling DIY and gardening products online, and which is now valued at $2.6 billion. The “EDHEC Start-up Founder of the Year 2023” prize went to Louis Ajacques, co-founder of Spayr, a start-up that allows employees to access a fraction of their salary simply by making a request through a mobile app. Lastly, the “Most Supportive & Generous Class of the Year” prize went to the class of 1967.
These prizes highlight the wealth and vibrancy of EDHEC Business School’s community of alumni, as well as their high-quality, inspirational and widely diverse careers.
