After his postgraduate research degree in law, Professor Christophe Collard worked for the French government and began teaching at the Lille School of Law. He joined EDHEC's core faculty in 1990 and was quickly given responsibilities, such as the management of the Law Major Programme. After a period as Head of the Law department at EDHEC, he was given the responsibility for the School's EQUIS re-accreditation process from 2004 to 2005. He is now the Director of the LL.M. Law & Tax Management and is in charge of the Business Law & Management track at EDHEC. Professor Collard has wide experience of teaching in foreign countries (especially in Poland, Algeria and Italy). He teaches Antitrust Law, Contract Law and Consumer Law, and maintains an active research agenda in the areas of Legal Management (legal risk management, compliance) and Legal Strategies. He has presented numerous papers at French and international conferences. He is the co-author of one of the best-selling business law handbooks in France, as well as another reference book dedicated to the concept of legal performance. He has also garnered several awards for excellence in writing and teaching.
