We are delighted to announce that the research paper "Determinants of internal carbon pricing" published by Gianfranco Gianfrate (EDHEC, EDHEC Risk Climate) and Nuno Bento (ISCTE-IUL) in Energy Policy, has been Highly Commended in the FT Responsible Business Education Awards, in the category “Best academic research with societal impact”.

Based on the research and expertise of its faculty members, EDHEC publishes articles and interviews on major contemporary issues. The second #EDHECVox newsletter looks at the circular economy, and how to move away from current "take/make/waste" models.

Last Monday, EDHEC Business School hosted an engaging session featuring Director of the EDHEC-Risk Climate Impact Institute,Frédéric Ducoulombier, CAIA, which was attended by some 300 finance master’s students. Introduced by Director of the Financial Economics track Professor Laurent Deville, the event discussed the mission and philosophy of the Institute, its ambitions and first research results.

In partnership with the Institut Hlm de la RSE and the Union sociale pour l’habitat, EDHEC's centre of expertise dedicated to the new generations has just published a study in French entitled "Mythes et réalités des métiers de l'habitat social" (oct. 2023). It was carried out by Geneviève Houriet-Segard and Manuelle Malot, respectively deputy director and director of the centre.

Climate finance, artificial intelligence, banking scandals, transfer of SMEs... in the last few weeks, EDHEC professors have taken a stand on (very) current social issues. Based on their recent research, these articles and interviews have been published on the platform dedicated to scientific dissemination, EDHEC Vox. Here is an overview.

Early June, during the 39th International Conference of the French Finance Association (AFFI), held in Bordeaux, Hamid Boustanifar, EDHEC Associate Professor, won the best 2022 award for his paper entitled “Bankruptcy reform, credit availability and financial distress”.

Mid-June, Martin Wetzels, EDHEC Professor, has been awarded by AMA SERVSIG the 2023 Career Contributions award, created in 1994 and renamed in 2009, in memory of Professor Christopher Lovelock.

Can we learn to “face the unknown”? In their new online course entitled “Building Strategic Foresight Capabilities”, René Rohrbeck, Remco Lenstra and Camelia Ram, all members of the UNESCO Chair hosted by EDHEC, do think so. Discover this new 10-hours MOOC proposed on coursera.org.  

The UNESCO Chair in "Organizational Anticipation, Resilient Leadership and Educational Innovation" is a platform for training, research and North-South-South collaboration. In this 3-minute video, discover its mission and the testimonies and expectations of its partners.
